YMC-Pack Protein-RP Guard Columns
YMC recommends that you always use a guard column with the same packing material and of the recommended inner diameter for your column. A YMC guard column is normally composed of a cartridge holder and a guard cartridge. The holder can be used repeatedly. Guard cartridges should be changed frequently in order to maximise their protection of the main column.
YMC-Pack Protein-RP is a reversed-phase column utilizing a silica gel base. It contains a stationary phase, specifically designed for separation of proteins or peptides.
Problems that are associated with conventional reversed-phase columns with short alkyl chain lengths are minimised. Robust column lifetime and excellent recovery of hydrophobic proteins are typically possible on this phase.
